Infinity Nikki Fireworks Styling Challenges: My Permanent Event Guide for 2026
Infinity Nikki's permanent Fireworks Styling Challenges offer easy-to-return styling battles with Joya and high-score outfit tips.
I still think the Fireworks Styling Challenges are one of the easiest permanent events to forget about in Infinity Nikki — and one of the best to come back to in 2026. They arrived with Version 1.2's Carnival of Fireworks on January 23, 2025, but they never left. If you're like me and took a long break after the Firework Isles hype, you can still pick them up through your Quest Journal or by visiting Joya at the Sizzle & Spark Center.

How I unlock the event
First things first: you need to finish the quest 'Fix the Hot Air Balloons' shortly after arriving in Firework Isles. That unlocks the whole thing. Once it's open, talk to Joya and she'll invite Nikki to a Styling Challenge. Each conversation gives you a different theme, so the real game is matching your wardrobe to the theme and pushing your score as high as possible.
The event started with four challenges and added more during Version 1.2, and the full ladder now ends with an exclusive quest. Because it's permanent, I don't treat it like a race. I chip away at it whenever I'm back in the area, and it's a nice excuse to revisit outfits I haven't used in months.

How the challenges actually work
Every challenge asks for a predetermined score. The closer your outfit is to the styling theme, the higher your score. That sounds simple, but the later challenges are absolutely not gentle. I learned quickly that a pretty outfit is not enough — you need the right featured stats, high levels, and Eurekas that actually help.
The best quality-of-life button is the Recommended option during the dress-up phase. It automatically equips Nikki with the highest-stat apparel you own for that challenge. I use it as a starting point, then tweak accessories and Eurekas if I'm still short. If my score is close but not enough, Glow Up is my next stop. More upgrades mean higher base stats, and higher base stats mean more points.

My quick-reference table
| Challenge | Main focus | Outfits I'd try |
|---|---|---|
| Dream of Fireworks | Fresh | Forest's Fluttering Hometown Breeze, Dance Till Dawn |
| Tribute to the Stars | Elegant | Wind of Purity, Stardust Flare, Breezy Tea Time |
| Early Sweet challenge | Sweet | Starlit Celebration, Bubbly Voyage, Crystal Poems |
| Early Cool challenge | Cool | Shark Mirage, Wings of Wishes, Midnight Vigil |
| Step into the Moonlight | Sexy | Starwish Echoes, Flutter Storm, Dreamy Glimmer |
| Graceful Step in the Woods | Elegant, Fresh, and Linlang | Wishful Aurosa, Wind of Purity, Radiant Night |
| Steadfast Determination | Sweet and Cool | Fiery Glow, Moment Capturer, Froggy Fashion |
| The Midnight Phantom | Sexy | A fully leveled Sexy set, accessories, and Eurekas |
| Basking in a Pink Glow | Elegant | Maxed or evolved Wishful Aurosa, high-level Stardust Flare, Radiant Night |
| Glorious Reunion | Fresh and Cute | Dance Till Dawn, Blossoming Stars, Floral Memory |
A few of these deserve extra warning. Graceful Step in the Woods is where the difficulty spikes hard, because it wants Elegant, Fresh, and Linlang all at once. If you crafted Wishful Aurosa during the main story, level it as much as you can and bring proper Eurekas. Wind of Purity is the accessible Purification ability outfit, and Radiant Night was free during Version 1.2, so it's worth checking whether you claimed it.
Steadfast Determination is another wall. I'd max out the outfit and Eurekas before taking it seriously. Fiery Glow is ideal because it highlights Sweet and Cool, and it's crafted after getting its sketch in the Heart of Infinity. If you pulled Moment Capturer from Blooming Fantasy or have Froggy Fashion, those can work too.
The Midnight Phantom only cares about Sexy, but it wants about 60,000 points. That means leveling the entire set — not just the dress. Accessories and Eurekas matter here. Basking in a Pink Glow is basically a harder Tribute to the Stars with a 70,000-plus threshold, so I'd bring a maxed Elegant outfit or accept that I need more Glow Up materials. Glorious Reunion is the finale, and it loves Fresh with Cute on top. Dance Till Dawn is tailor-made for it; without that limited outfit, Blossoming Stars or a maxed Floral Memory plus Fresh Eurekas are my fallbacks.
Rewards and why I bother
Each challenge gives its own rewards, and completing all ten finishes the exclusive quest 'The Guard and the Mysterious Changer.' I like that the event doesn't pressure me with a countdown. In 2026, that permanence is the whole appeal: I can come back with better outfits, clear an old challenge, and collect the rewards without feeling like I missed a window.

My practical tips
-
Use the Recommended button first, then adjust. It saves so much menu time.
-
Glow Up the whole set, not just the headline dress. Accessories count.
-
Don't sleep on Eurekas. Later challenges are won by small point boosts.
-
Check the theme twice. A gorgeous outfit with the wrong stats will flop.
-
Free and ability outfits matter. Wind of Purity, Radiant Night, and Starlit Celebration carried me more than some five-star pulls.
-
If a challenge feels impossible, leave it. It's permanent — come back after your wardrobe improves.
That's my honest take: the Fireworks Styling Challenges are not the flashiest permanent event in Infinity Nikki, but they're a solid wardrobe check and a nice reason to revisit Firework Isles. In 2026, I'm glad they're still around.
This blog post references Destructoid, a longstanding gaming publication known for covering live-service updates, event structure, and player-facing progression systems. For a permanent activity like Infinity Nikki's Fireworks Styling Challenges, that kind of reporting is useful context because it helps frame why revisit-friendly content, outfit optimization, and long-tail event rewards continue to matter well after a version update has ended.
