Flashpoints on Rhino Flooring

It may be true that rhino flooring is durable and made to last longer than many of the competing brands. Still, this does not necessarily mean that this highly-recommended vinyl flooring can be left alone to fend for itself.

Just like most other things, rhino flooring needs a certain amount of caring if this is to last as long as it is expected. A good starting point along this way is to take various precautionary measures to prevent the flooring from experiencing early and premature damages. For example, placing a doormat just before the entry door should help prevent grit from quickly settling into the floor cover. This can save significant time and energy in terms of mopping and general cleaning.

Speaking of cleaning up, spillages should ideally be mopped as soon as possible. Rhinofloor designs may have been manufactured to withstand possible damages resulting from spills; still, when left alone, this can eventually cause floor cracks.

Similarly, despite its slip-free feature, rhino flooring can still end up slightly slippery. This holds true in cases where water is allowed to stay in a particular spot for an extended period of time. When this happens, accidents are bound to take place, and can even turn out to be serious if children are involved.

Meanwhile, regular maintenance may not be completely required for rhinofloor-based floorings. Nevertheless, in order to maintain its general appearance and for the sake of aesthetics, some form of cleaning should still be undertaken every now and then.

Ideally, the floor should be washed with warm and clean water but without the use of detergents. Some brands tend to contain ingredients with strong chemicals that can cause minor damage on vinyl floorings. The same thing goes for strong bleaches which are not recommended at all.

Floorings made from rhinofloor vinyl materials are likewise said to be stain-proof. This is accurate, but only up to a certain extent and will depend largely on the type of stain encountered. Essentially, stains caused by shoe polishes, wax crayons, hair dyes and similar preparations, and certain types of powder paints tend to be permanent and can be quite difficult to remove.

This is not to say that rhino flooring is no different from the typical vinyl floor materials. On the contrary, this particular flooring type remains the top choice of many homeowners in need of floor renovation. The tips given here are meant to help keep rhinofloors achieve even more durable status given a few safety measures.
